January transfer market coming up...
So LUFC fans favorite time of year is coming up, yup the transfer window. I hope that frases like "Irons in the fire" "Like a new signing" "Just couldnt get it over the line" & "The agent fucked us over" are gone after new ownership has arrived at the club.
One thing is on most Leeds fans minds though, how much cash have GFH made available for NW to spend.. Some seem to think were filthy rich and will be able to take our pick from every clubs in the Championsship and from some in Premier League too, I'm more cautious, I think were lucky if NW gets £1,5-2M for players.
There's a few reasons for that, I cant see us signing many players that can play in the prem right now, so why "waste" £5-6M on guys we'll have to sell when/if promoted. If NW is serious about retiring in the summer, why would GFH give him cash to spend on players a new manager might not want, and finally I'm not sure that GFH are as loaded as some fans think, I don't know, but I think they would have pushed the TO though ages before if they had "money to burn"
So who will we sign?
There's been plenty of rumours on both twitter and facebook, since the Alan Smith story has died it seems that Beckford and Gradel have taken his place in former players been linked with a return.
I'd love to see Gradel return to Leeds, but I honestly can't see it happening, his team in France are fighting for Champions League football for next season, I don't think his love for Leeds is big enough for him to quit that to, maybe just maybe, play for us in the Premier League. The Beckford story is never happening, we had the chance in the summer to get him on loan and NW never thought about it I think, he's not a NW kind of player, he's too lazy, so I really dont believe that.
So now that I've shot down the stories, I should put down my guesses on who's coming in.
I can see us signing Michael Tonge (wish SG had done that when he signed Pugh a few years ago), I think that Alan Tate will stick around as well. I really hope that Jerome Thomas stays too, but I'm not to sure that WBA are prepared to let him go, and his wages could prove a stumbling block too.
I'd like to see us add a left back and another striker too, Ross McCormack seems unlikely to score at the moment, and could be put to better use on the wing, he's after all one of our most creative players in recent years. NW dosent seem to like Aidy White or Adam Drury on the LB and no one likes Peltier out there (or anywhere really) so thats probably something we should look at, I have no idea however who we could sign.
Jermaine, my friend, we'll always have January 3rd 2010!

Lee Peltier; Unlucky or Captain Calamity?
I was pretty happy when we managed to sign Lee Peltier this summer, after the Joel Ward failure where we all thought we were totally broke it was nice to get a proven player into the team. I was however, like most fans, pretty surprised when Lee was named captain, in my eyes he seems like a quiet guy and not much of a leader. A player like Jason Pearce or even Rodolph Austin seemed a much more likely choice, and more of a Leeds United type captain.
My biggest issue however is not that I don't agree with him being captain, my biggest issue is that after four months I still have no idea what his best position is, is he a RB, a CB or, doubtful, a LB?
In my head he's a RB, but young Sam Byram has done extremely well and made the position his own, so what to do? You can't put your captain on the bench, so you play him out of position and make him look like a fool.. Can't say I agree with that decision NW. Neil makes very few mistakes, but picking Lee as captain and playing him out of position is a pretty big one.
No one expected Sam Byram to play like he has, and we're all well impressed with him, and his progress actually means the purchase of Peltier is wasted in my opinion - but like I said, no one could know.
So in one way Lee Peltier is unlucky, because have came to a club that already had a better RB then him in the team, in many other ways he's just captain calamity because he plays out of position and makes a lot of errors, errors that might end us costing us in the long run.
I hope we get rid of Pelts in the transfer window, if we can get the money spent on him back, there are other spots in the team that those money could be better spent.
Before it all sounds to negative I'd like to thank NW for getting team spirit back in the recent games and getting my favorite player Luciano Becchio back to his best.

TOMA is no more
So November 21st was the day Leeds fans all over the world had waited for in over 7 years. Ken Bates finally sold our club and to no surprise it was GFH that picked us up after 7(!!!) months og wheeling and dealing. I for one am pretty pleased that David Haigh and his buddies read my blog about getting a f****** move on.
There is still some things we are yet to learn about GFH.
One thing left a sour taste in some supporters mouths, the fact that Ken Bates will stay on as Chairman for the reminder of this season and then take on the post previously filled by Lord Harewood. In my humble opinion we shouldn't give a f***, Ken Bates pressured GFH to give him the post because they wanted to close the deal before the loan window closed, and they agreed since its an honorary title and he'll have zero influence. He has no shares in the club and theres no money involved, he will however be allowed to watch games for free from the suites and attend official club things, but honestly, should we, as fans, care, i certainly don't.
That he'll stick around as Chairman for the reminder of this season and help Haigh & Co. into their roles is also, for me, an ok thing, like or dislike him, he's been around football for 60+ years, he must know a thing or two.
A fellow Danish White asked me yesterday if I was certain that the "moneyman" GFH had a the backhand wasen't Ken Bates, this to me proves what he has done to us over the past 7 years, we're all extremely suspicious and immediately expect the worst - but I'll say to you what I said to him. 1. Ken Bates is not rich haha 2. The worst is now behind this great club of ours, we'll rise again.
So Ken Bates took one last swipe at fans and want to sit at ER three-four times a season, while we just rise and rise, I'm pretty ok with that.
Soon the glory days will return to Leeds United, the future is bright, the future is white

- Can they deliever the things the promised?
- How much cash will they make available for transfers?
- Was Thorp Arch & Elland Road a part of the deal?

I need to moan now
I've not written anything for a while, I've been busy with college and I've honestly not had anything to say about the current situation in Leeds. My mom always told me to speak politely or shut up, so mom, I'm sorry.
I've behaved, I've given both NW, the team, David Haigh & co. and even Ken Bates all the time in the world, I've trusted that things would work out for once for Leeds United.
I can't anymore, I'm furious, I can't believe whats happening to this club I love, true we've been a bit of a joke in the first seven years under Master Bates, but the joke has just grown and grown in the past seven months where our supposed takeover has been in the making.
I looked through my tweets recently, words like TOMA, Imminent, Filthy rich, Pen4Ken and others have filled my twitter timeline over the past six/seven months and I've had it.. We have a saying in Denmark, Piss or get of the toilet - thats the point I'd like to make to GFH, Ken Bates and everyone else involved.. I honestly (almost) dont care if we get taken over anymore, GFH haven't got the money to make us a force anyway (If they did they would have forced this through months ago, right?!), I just want clarity, I just want this take over hell to end.
In my local pub I've noticed that fans of other clubs are starting to pity us instead of taking the usual piss, I dont like that, I like when they take the piss, it proves they miss us and that they're jealous - now they're nothing, we're turning into nothing in many other supporters minds.
It's my birthday on Saturday, what I want the most is for us to smash Palace (happily without Luke "moron" Varney), and second most I want this take over to be finalised or called off. This season is about surveving and then we have to make yet another "fresh start" from next summer.
Moaning on together! I'll always love you SuperLeeds but you're making it a bit hard right now!

Sheffield W - Leeds, my two cents.
The image above is what most people remember about last nights game.
There were killing tackles, great atmosphere, a bit of harsh singing, penaltys missed and two good goals - Tonges was amazing but no one seems to remember him scoring.
Some moron (and not in the positive Ken Bates say we are way) choose to get onto the pitch and bash Chris Kirkland, he fell, of course he fell, he was punched in the face. I cant get my head around however how a boy banned from football grounds all over the UK can get into Hillsborough, a place that with its sad history should have pretty strict security.
I was sitting in my local pub with other Leeds fans and a Danish journalist who was outraged that the Leeds fans saluted the bully and cheered him of the pitch, we tried to tell him that no one cheered him on, but to little use, so I guess there's now another guy who thinks Leeds fans are animals.
Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones did very little to calm people down after the game, where he described us ALL like this: "They are vile animals. You talk about racism in the game, but what about
the chanting and everything else? It’s a form of racism in itself, but
then, to go and wave at them? No, not in my book. It was a great game,
high intensity, a few chances, two good goals, and instead we’re talking
about vile animals, and that’s what they are – all of them"
It would have suited the supposed child molester to try and calm people down and say that its sad that the actions of ONE moron ruins it for the other 5000+ loyal Leeds fans who went to Hillsborough to support the lads, but I guess he thinks he might get a 3-0 win from the FA if he acts out?
I'd also like to acknowledge how quick Leeds United as a club was to come out and condemn the actions of one foolish fan - good job Paul Dews and all others involved.
Now we need to focus on football and our game against Charlton and show the world that the actions of one fool is not supported by the majority of Leeds United fans. MOT!

Our season so far.
I hate international breaks but at least this one gives me the chance to do a blog about our start to the season.
I'll say first off that I've been extremely impressed about the way on players seem to fight for the badge, each other, Neil Warnock and of course the fans - almost every player gives 110% in every game and we have the "Leeds United" mentality, Never say die!
I've been very impressed by Neil Warnocks ability to change the team around during games, something his predecessor had big trouble doing - and when we consider all the off pitch activity with takeovers/investments and what not you cant help being impressed by his coolness and his ability in both finding the right guys for us and getting them to play the way they are.
Of the players I've been wildly impressed by most, but a few deserve a special mention.
But all in all, can anyone complain about the season so far? 7th place in the league and we knocked Everton out of the cup (In a game that embodied what Leeds United is all about). I hope this investment happens soon and that we're in a position to get a few good signings in come January - I firmly believe that this is our year - we've not had a team, a team spirit or a manager as good as this in 8-10 years.

- Diouf, lets be honest we almost all hated the fact that he joined the club, but oh my, hes been a revelation, I havent seen him perform like this since the World Cup in 2002.
- Byram, well I had not heard much about this kid before he suddenly played in pre season (Only in FM2012 and he was pretty shit there). He's managed to take the step up, much like Tom Lees did last year, but without the loan experience, he's surely one for the future, I can see him captaining Leeds in the Prem within a few years.
- Becchio, my favorite player in Leeds (almost of all time!). He's working, he's scoring and he's really loving his football again, I think that Warnocks style of football suits him better then Graysons. I predicted him getting 26 goals this season, I wonder if thats to low?!
- Kenny, Mr. Confident, the guy makes very few mistakes and is cool as fuck - I talked to a mate of mine about what a keeper like Kenny could have done for Graysons Leeds teams, I think that if Grayson had managed to get a keeper of Kennys qualities into his team he might still have been manager of Leeds United.
But all in all, can anyone complain about the season so far? 7th place in the league and we knocked Everton out of the cup (In a game that embodied what Leeds United is all about).
